, follow these instructions:
- For
users of Netscape Navigator 4.0 or Communicator 4.0 or higher:
Without clicking, place the mouse cursor on the link webtamil.ttf
located in this sentence. Keeping the cursor on that link,
click the Right Mouse Button.
A menu will appear (as seen in the figure below) in that part
of the screen. From that menu, select the option 'Save
Link As'. Save the font as "webtamil.ttf". Make
a note of the directory
in which you are saving this file.
- For
users of other browsers, click here to download
webtamil.ttf
(70k). Save the font as "webtamil.ttf" and make a note
of the directory
in which you are saving this file.

Microsoft
Windows 98, 2000, XP
To
download our font for Windows 98, follow
these instructions:
The WebTamil
font does not work with Netscape Navigator or Netscape Communicator
in Windows 98.
- Microsoft
Internet Explorer users, click here to download
webtamil.ttf
(70k). Save the font as "webtamil.ttf" and make a
note of the directory
in which you are saving this file.

For
Murasu Anjal users Users
of Murasu Anjal 1.8 or higher can view KOODAL webpages without downloading
the WebTamil font. Refer to the following instructions for
viewing KOODAL webpages using Murasu Anjal 1.8 or higher.
- Open the Murasu Anjal software
and leave it running.
- Start your internet browser.
- In Internet
Explorer, select Internet Options
from the View menu. Click
on the Fonts button and set the
Inaimathi or Inaikathir font as the default viewing font.
- In Netscape
Navigator, select Preferences
from the Edit menu. Select the
Fonts option under the heading
Appearances and set the Inaimathi
or Inaikathir font as the Variable Width
Font.
- Then browse through our webpages.
- If any problems occur, please
e-mail us with the
details.
For
Microsoft Windows '95, '98, 2000, XP users:
Installation
Procedure:
1.
Click the Start
button located in the lower left hand corner of the screen.
2. As
illustrated in the picture below, select Control
Panel from the Settings
menu.
3.
Double click on the Fonts
icon found in the Control Panel.
4.
Select the 'Install New Font'
option from the 'File Menu'.
5.
Under the 'Drives'
dropdown box, select the drive in which the 'webtamil.ttf'
file has been saved.
6.
Under the 'Folders'
list box, switch to the directory in which you have saved 'webtamil.ttf'.
7.
'webtamil.ttf'
will be among the fonts displayed in the 'List
of Fonts' list box. Click to
choose 'webtamil.ttf'
from the 'List of fonts'.
8.
Click 'OK'.
9.
Restart your browser.
10.
After completing the above process, your web browser will automatically
display Tamil characters whenever you access www.maruthamalar.com
Windows
3.x users
- After
downloading "webtamil.ttf", go to
"Main" in Windows. Double click
the "Control Panel" icon.
- Double click
the "Fonts" icon inside "Control
Panel".
- Select the
directory or folder in which "webtamil.ttf" has been saved.
- If you are
in the right directory or folder, "Available
Fonts" box will contain the font "Web Tamil Normal".
- Select "Web
Tamil Normal" and click "OK".
- Close all
programs and restart the browser.
- After
completing the above process, your web browser will automatically
display Tamil characters whenever you access www.maruthamalar.com
